Explorer Academy series - Trudi Truett

This fast-paced, adventure series, is described as an “international fiction series inspired by the real adventures and explorations of the National Geographic Society”.  Think of it as “Around the World in 80 Days” meets modern science and cutting-edge technology. The thrill of secret criminal societies, mysterious puzzles, and a gang of four tween explorers, make this series irresistible. The characters are very relatable to the 5th grade crowd. Cruz is my son’s favorite.

Ashwin cannot put these books down; he stashes one in the car and one in his backpack so he always has a novel on hand. He loves the non-stop adventure, and also the exotic locales. The generous sprinkling of color illustrations give him lots of detail to examine. Part of a recently read book took place in Petra. This spurred some informational research on Ashwin’s part to learn more about Jordan. 

Ashwin has requested every new release in the series, marking our calendar as far out as a 2024 release. You’ll note that these are all hard copies; he’s too eager to wait for paperback editions to come out. 📚 📖
