“In the Market for Murder” - T. E. Kinsey

(Lady Hardcastle book 2)

🥘 My favorite sleuthing duo is prevailed upon by Inspector Sunderland to assist him in the investigation of the mysterious death of a local farmer; he died facedown in a beef and mushroom pie in the middle of the lunch rush. Meanwhile, Lady H and Armstrong are also tapped by the village constabulary to assist in the bizarre theft of rugby trophies from the Chipping Bevington Rugby Club. A local ghost also makes an appearance - to add a dose of the paranormal to this otherwise perfectly cozy village mystery.

🥘 At the time of this writing, I’ve read several books in this charming series. I enjoy the historical detail as well as the irreverence of the protagonists.
