“A Spoonful of Murder” - J. M. Hall

☕️ Like the Thursday Murder Club series, this one features a group of retired friends. What I enjoy the most about this series is in addition to the core mysteries, the 3 friends each grapple with their own personal issues - such as a beloved grandchild labelled “troubled” at school, or a teen son facing a social media crisis. I was eager for the friends to solve the murder, but also to know if their personal issues are resolved.

☕️ One of the gals references Angela Hartnett frequently when it comes to figuring out what to make for dinner. From my sleuthing, she seems to be an Ina Garten-esque chef, revered by home cooks. You can follow her on IG @angelacooking if you need inspiration.
