🐈 Aggie reminds me of a combination of Vera Stanhope and Bridget Jones. Honestly, I love reading about Aggie’s hysterical attempts at landing a man (her handsome neighbor) than the mystery itself in this one.
🐈 I still see no merit in such descriptions. I mean really, it’s a head-scratcher. Yes, readers, Bill Wong remains “oriental as usual”. As if his Asianness isn’t an intrinsic aspect of who he is. Is it intended as a reflection of Aggie’s own, petty prejudices? I suppose so, but it really doesn’t add much value IMO. At least there was only 1 such reference in TVV. That’s a marked improvement from “The Quiche of Death”.
