“Death Beside the Seaside” - T. E. Kinsey
(Lady Hardcastle book 6)
⚓️ In the words of Lady H, this little tale was an “espionage jamboree” with spies and counterspies left, right, and center.
⚓️ I love how Kinsey brings in characters form his other series; I am of course referring to London’s Finest Rhythm Section and a certain American socialite craving adventure (it took me a second to figure out who she was, but Annapolis should have tipped me off).
⚓️ Flo and Lady H do not disappoint with their James Bond-esque antics. It’s so refreshing to read about a pair of tough-as-nails Edwardian Era ladies. Lady H brings the brains, diminutive Flo brings the brawn.
⚓️ The Lady Hardcastle and Flo mysteries are engaging and lighthearted detective stories, and are even more enjoyable because they reflect the social and cultural nuances of the era. I love them!
