💎 I much preferred book 2 featuring the “Best Rhythm Section in London” and their gang (“A Baffling Murder at the Midsummer Ball”).   This was a slow, aimless investigation. Our good pal Superintendent Sunderland has set Skins and Dunn on a veritable needle in a haystack scenario at the posh Aristippus Club.

💎 TDMMD introduces us to the Dizzy Heights - we get to know Skins, Dunn, and Ellie (though we’ve technically met them all earlier in various Lady Hardcastle adventures) pretty well. I think that was the main purpose served of this particular book.
