“The Fatal Flying Affair” - T. E. Kinsey
(Lady Hardcastle book 7)
🪽There’s espionage, double agents, and airborne hijinks galore in this Armstrong-and-Hardcastle caper. At this point, I think we’re well beyond the staid confines of the term “mystery”.
🪽If you read this series for what it is, a humorous spin at turn-of-the-century golden age mysteries with the most unlikely pair of sleuths (smashing gender norms), and in all probability, reality, you will enjoy these lighthearted tales. Lady H doesn’t take herself too seriously, and neither should you.
🪽The only serious aspect of these novels is the historical research that goes into them. Here, you’ll get a view of early 20th century aeronautical technology, and how it would come to play a major role in WWI.
