🔓A safecracker and thief, Electra “Ellie” McDonnell is conscripted to aid Special Branch during their wartime efforts in exchange for extricating her fellow thief, Uncle Mick, from prison. It’s certainly an unusual premise as our heroine is definitely engaged in unsavory conduct at the outset, taking advantage of the Blitz to engage in thievery.

🔓APC is a wartime mystery with an espionage angle. Top secret plans have fallen the wrong hands. It’s a fun read although light on the actual mystery and solving thereof. All indications point to the development of a love triangle between Major Ramsey, Ellie, and Felix in book 2. 

🔓I enjoyed the historical details of women stepping up to do the jobs of men away fighting.
