“Shady Hollow” - Juneau Black

 🦊 Think: cozy mystery set in a “Wind in the Willows”-esque universe of Shady Hollow. I love stories with anthropomorphic animals so I was fully on board with this one.

🦊 It’s perfect for middle grade mystery lovers. There’s minimal violence, and indirect references to an affair that’ll likely go over their heads, so on the whole I feel ok for advanced readers of the younger set too.

🦊 Lenore the raven’s Nevermore bookshop sounds pretty dreamy IMO. The wisecracking bird was my favorite character. No “sunshine and melodies” here.
