Review: “Double Fudge” by Judy Blume

(Fudge book 4)
💰The Hatcher family hasn’t skipped a beat — though mercifully, Warren is less of clueless father (we did see a bit of that evolution even in the early books).
💰Peter is 12, Fudge is 5, and Tootsie is 2. The Hatchers are back in NYC and we get to meet the spectacularly oddball Howie Hatcher family. Brace yourselves. Peter’s best friend Jimmy Fargo is moving all the way to SoHo which is soul crushing for Peter who continues to see more than he cares to of Sheila now that Grandma Muriel is married to Buzzy.
There. I think you’re all caught up and ready for this final Fudge book!
💰The entire Fudge series makes excellent summer reading material for grades 2-4. And don’t come at me. I know “Sheila the Great” is technically considered number 2, but I don’t. She’s a free-standing diva, all on her own IMO.

💰If your elementary readers enjoy the antics of Fudge, here are some more recos to get them through the summer.
