Review: “We Solve Murders” by Richard Osman

🐈‍⬛ WSM is a globe-trotting, breezy adventure with an undercurrent of warmth and dry British wit. Grieving, set-in-his ways ex-tough guy  Steve, provides the heart of the story.

It takes a while for this crack team of investigators to be formed, but therein lies the fun and mayhem. Osman has a gift for forming a group of likable misfits. The WSM gang needs this mission to cure aimlessness just like their counterparts over at Cooper’s Chase.

🐈‍⬛ Life lessons in WSM, are brought to you by the ever-so wise Steve. Steve’s steady presence forms a nice contrast to Amy’s chaotic, larger-than-life energy. I love that he’s her father-in-law yet they have a unique relationship.

Overall, I had mixed feelings as compared to TMC but I appreciated Steve’s emotional growth, and the unexpected found-family dynamic.

🦊Osman’s Thursday Murder Club series:

“The Man Who Died Twice”

“The Bullet That Missed”

“The Last Devil to Die”
